Each session is structured to help you work through your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. Here’s a general outline of what to expect:
Check-In: We start by discussing what’s been happening since our last session and identifying any immediate concerns.
Exploration: We dive deeper into specific thoughts, emotions, or behaviors that you’d like to address, helping you understand patterns and triggers.
Skill Building: Depending on your needs, we’ll work on developing coping strategies or practical tools to help manage challenges.
Reflection: We’ll end by reflecting on the session, summarizing key takeaways, and discussing any steps for the upcoming week.
Each session is tailored to meet you where you are and support your goals.

You might benefit from therapy if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unable to cope with certain aspects of your life. Common signs include persistent stress, anxiety, low mood, or difficulty managing relationships or responsibilities. If you’re finding it hard to navigate life’s challenges, feeling disconnected, or wanting support in understanding your emotions and behaviors, therapy can provide valuable insight and tools for growth.

Yes, therapy is absolutely confidential, and it’s the foundation of our work together. Everything discussed in our sessions stays private and is never shared outside of our time together. The only exception is if there’s an immediate risk to your life or the safety of someone else. In that rare case, emergency services may need to be involved to ensure everyone’s well-being.

It’s important to find the right fit! That’s why I offer a 15-minute consultation call to ensure we’re a good match. If at any point you don’t feel that connection, that’s okay! I’m happy to refer you to another therapist who may better support you moving forward.

Yes, I’m covered under the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Most major insurance companies, such as Manulife, Sun Life, and Canada Life, offer coverage for these sessions, depending on your plan. However, it’s important to confirm with your insurance provider to ensure your specific coverage details.

I offer single sessions, so if you’re facing a crisis, you can reach out and schedule an appointment to work through it. My goal is to support you in that moment and help relieve any concerns or issues you’re experiencing. However, if you are in an emergency situation where you fear for your life, or if you have imminent thoughts of suicide or self-harm, it is important to contact 911 immediately.
